testSwap Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to testSwap, the Android app published on Google Play under package name com.shim.testswap. It explains what data testSwap collects, how that data is used, and the choices you have. testSwap is free to use. We do not sell personal information and we do not show ads.
Information we collect
Account information
- Google account identifiers, including Google user ID, email address, display name, and profile photo, through Firebase Authentication.
- Google Play Console OAuth refresh tokens, stored encrypted, when you choose to connect Play Console so testSwap can verify that you own the Android app you submit.
- Time zone, used to calculate your local testing day.
App submission information
- Package name, app category, app listing details, Play opt-in link, and setup status for the Android app you submit to testSwap.
- Play Console verification status and Google Play Integrity signals used to confirm legitimate installs and reduce abuse.
Testing activity
- Task sessions, completed tasks, foreground-time measurements for peer apps during active testing sessions, screenshots you submit, and written feedback you provide.
- Screenshots and written feedback are shared with the developer whose app you tested.
- Device and network metadata incidental to API requests, such as IP address, operating system version, timestamps, and diagnostic information, for reliability, fraud prevention, and rate limiting.
Community and support activity
- testSwap group chat messages, direct messages, Verified Hub posts and comments, moderation reports, appeals, and support-related communications.
- Reputation scores, reputation event history, and safety signals used to operate the testing community.
Information we do not collect
- Precise location.
- Contact lists.
- Advertising IDs.
- Payment card information.
- Cross-app activity outside an active testSwap testing session.
How we use information
- Create and manage testSwap accounts.
- Verify submitted apps and Play Console ownership.
- Match Android developers into testing groups.
- Track task completion and generate testing evidence.
- Share submitted feedback with the app developer receiving that feedback.
- Send notifications about testing tasks, group activity, account status, appeals, and service updates.
- Protect testSwap from fraud, unofficial installs, duplicate evidence, abuse, and policy violations.
- Improve reliability, diagnose errors, and respond to support requests.
Android permissions
- Google Sign-In identifies your account.
- Notifications are used for task reminders and account or group updates when enabled.
- Usage access is used only during an active testing session to measure foreground time for the specific peer app being tested.
- Foreground service access keeps an active test timer running.
- Play Integrity checks help verify that the app is running on a supported, trusted Android environment.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited situations:
- With the developer whose app you tested, when you submit screenshots or written feedback for that developer's app.
- With service providers that help operate authentication, hosting, storage, messaging, analytics, reliability, fraud prevention, moderation, and notifications.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, testSwap, or others.
Data retention and deletion
- Account information and reputation records are kept while your account remains active.
- Screenshots and task feedback may be retained for up to 90 days after the related testing group ends.
- testSwap group chat may be retained for up to 30 days after the group ends.
- Direct messages may be retained for up to 30 days after the related group ends.
- Verified Hub posts and comments are retained until deleted or removed for policy reasons.
- Moderation reports may be retained for 12 months.
- Appeals may be retained for 24 months.
- Fraud and integrity signals may be retained as needed to protect the service and investigate abuse.
You can request account deletion or privacy help by contacting support@bootz.app. When an account is deleted, testSwap removes account data and related app data from active systems where deletion is supported, subject to backup, security, fraud-prevention, and legal retention limits.
Your choices
- You can update profile and submitted app information inside testSwap.
- You can disable notifications in Android settings.
- You can stop a testing session or revoke usage access in Android settings.
- You can disconnect Play Console access from your Google account controls.
- You can contact support@bootz.app to request access, correction, or deletion of your information.
Children
testSwap is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
